Not sure if I explained to you that i worked in IBM Research for 20yrs developing computer & RF chips for everything from cellphones to telecom systems and analog power chips to drive stepper motors, i have several patents from my work during those years (’79-’99) the technology was silicon base which we continued to shrink (using photolithography) from 100-micrometers (10e-6) to 1300-nanometers (10e-9) during my time designing, today however IBM are using Carbon base technology (CNT) to paint tiny carbon-nano-tube based transistors, hence the CNT have now become the latest chip technology the world is chasing (China lags behind US & Taiwan, the real reason for the secret fight for Taiwan) !
