This is a very interesting situation… now that the economy is tanking, and more people are likely not filing or paying income taxes, there is likely a concern some people may have, of going to jail.
In reality, the risk is fairly low…
The odds are clearly stacked in favour of the people and I would imagine that for people of lower income, the likelihood of jail time, would be even less, however, steps can be taken to ensure the likelihood is even less likely.
