A bit of perspective here.

The Love Canal area was originally the site of an abandoned canal that became a dumping ground for nearly 22,000 tons of chemical waste (including polychlorinated biphenyls, dioxin, and pesticides) produced by the Hooker Chemicals and Plastics Corporation in the 1940s and ’50s.

This train’s contents were minuscule compared to Love Canal.
Love Canal did not contaminate the whole East Coast or all the waterways.
It did not kill millions of people. It didn’t do any of the things, people are saying this Small Train will do.

The Train wreak was tragic for the people in the Immediate Area and that’s about it.

IITM: Wow!! This could actually be good news, in the sense that those who leave the coast now, won’t be facing what is likely to come in the events of the both the toxic chemicals in the air, or the imminent New Madrid fault shift. If all this sounds alarmist, I get it… it is an alarm!! That’s exactly what it is… an alarm!!

What’s the harm in leaving, and what’s the harm in staying? And why not leave for a while, and if there’s something to come back to, then there is.

If there was a wave of death coming your way, would you believe it, and then after that, would you be willing and/or able to take steps to get yourself to safety??
